What is Ultracet?
An analgesic drug used for treating moderate to severe pain.
DIRECTIONS:
Tablet - Comes as tablet to take by mouth. Do not split, chew or crush them. The tablets should be swallowed whole and taken with a full glass of water.
Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take ultracet exactly as directed.
STORAGE:
- Keep it in its tightly closed container.
- Keep it out of reach of children.
- Store the capsules and tablets at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom).
- Throw away any medication that is outdated or no longer needed. Talk to your pharmacist about the proper disposal of your medication.
WARNING:
Before taking Ultracet, Advice your Doctor and Pharmacist if you have these following
- If allergic to ultracet or other narcotic pain medications
- If you are taking prescription and nonprescription medications, vitamins, nutritional supplements, and herbal products you are taking.
- If you have or have ever had seizures, head injury, infection in your brain or nervous system, increased intracranial pressure (increased pressure within the skull), diabetes, breathing problems or lung disease, or kidney or liver disease. Also tell your doctor if you drink or have ever drunk large amounts of alcohol, use or have ever used street drugs or have overused prescription medications.
- If you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding.
- If you become pregnant while taking ultracet, advice your doctor.
- If you are having surgery, including dental surgery, tell the doctor or dentist that you are taking ultracet.
- Avoid driving or operating any machinery while in the effect of the medication.
- Avoid drinking alcoholic beverages while taking this medication.
