What is Flexeril?
A drug that is used to treat pain, tenderness and limited motion caused by muscle spasms. This medication is used together with rest and physical therapy for short-term treatment (2 to 3 weeks).
DIRECTIONS:
Tablet - Comes as tablet to take by mouth. Do not split, chew or crush them. The tablets should be swallowed whole and taken with a full glass of water.
Do not take this drug for more than 3 weeks without talking to your doctor. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take flexeril exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.
STORAGE:
- Keep it in its tightly closed container.
- Keep it out of reach of children.
- Store the capsules and tablets at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom).
- Throw away any medication that is outdated or no longer needed. Talk to your pharmacist about the proper disposal of your medication.
WARNING:
Before taking Flexeril, Advice your Doctor and Pharmacist if you have these following
- If allergic to flexeril or any other drugs.
- If you are taking other prescription and nonprescription drugs.
- If you have overactive thyroid gland, heart disease, glaucoma, or difficulty urinating
- Avoid alcoholic beverages while taking this medication.
