What is Butalbital?
A drug uses to treat migraine headaches, tension headaches and relieves pain such as shoulder and upper back pain.
DIRECTIONS:
Tablet and Capsule- Comes as tablet and capsule to take by mouth. Do not split, chew, or crush them. The tablets should be swallowed whole and taken with a full glass of water.
Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Do not take more than six tablets or capsules in 1 day. If you think that you need more to relieve your symptoms, call your doctor.
STORAGE:
- Keep it in its tightly closed container.
- Keep it out of reach of children.
- Store the capsules and tablets at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom).
- Throw away any medication that is outdated or no longer needed. Talk to your pharmacist about the proper disposal of your medication.
WARNING:
Before taking Butalbital, Advice your Doctor and Pharmacist if you have these following
- If allergic to butalbital, acetaminophen, caffeine or any other drugs.
- If you are taking other prescription and nonprescription medications.
- If you have or have ever had liver disease, porphyria, or depression.
- If you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding.
- If you become pregnant while taking this medication, call your doctor.
- Avoid driving a car or operate any machinery while this drug affects you.
